Boat with custom heat-sealed shrink wrap for Utah winter

Boat shrink wrapping · Orem, Utah

Boat shrink wrapping that stands up to Utah winters.

A custom-fitted, heat-sealed shrink wrap is the best winter protection your boat can get. We build a pitched support frame, wrap it drum-tight and vent it — so snow slides off and moisture stays out until spring.

  • Custom-fitted to your boat
  • Pitched frame sheds snow
  • Vented to prevent mildew
  • Pairs with winterization & storage

Why it matters in Utah

Snow, sun and wind don't take winters off.

Utah winters bring heavy, wet snow, intense high-altitude UV and gusty canyon winds. A loose tarp collects water, flaps, chafes your gelcoat and lets snow pile up until something gives.

Shrink wrap is heated until it tightens into a single, weather-tight shell around your boat. With a properly pitched frame and vents, it sheds snow, blocks sun and keeps moisture, leaves and critters out — protecting your upholstery, electronics and finish all season.

Why shrink wrapping pays off.

  • 01

    Weather-tight protection

A tight, sealed cover keeps snow, rain and ice off every surface of your boat.

  • 02

    Sheds snow loads

A pitched support frame lets snow slide off instead of piling up and sagging.

  • 03

    Blocks UV damage

Protects vinyl, gelcoat, electronics and graphics from Utah's strong sun.

  • 04

    Prevents mold & mildew

Strategically placed vents let moisture escape so your interior stays fresh.

  • 05

    No flapping or chafing

Unlike tarps, shrink wrap won't whip in the wind and scuff your finish.

Shrink Wrapping FAQ

Shrink Wrapping in Utah, answered.

Is shrink wrap better than a boat cover or tarp?

For Utah winters, yes. Tarps trap water, flap in the wind and can scratch your gelcoat. A custom shrink wrap is drum-tight and sealed, sheds snow on a pitched frame and stays put all season.

Will shrink wrap cause mold or mildew?

Not when it's done properly. We install vents so moisture can escape and air can circulate, which keeps condensation and mildew from building up inside.

How much does boat shrink wrapping cost?

Pricing depends mainly on your boat's length and features like towers, windshields and biminis. Call (801) 785-7878 or send the form and we'll quote it for you.

Can I get into my boat after it's wrapped?

Ask us about adding a zippered access door so you can check on your boat during the winter without cutting the wrap.

When should I shrink wrap my boat in Utah?

Right after winterization and before the first snow — typically October to mid-November in Utah County. We usually do both in the same visit.

Do I need to winterize before shrink wrapping?

Yes. Shrink wrap protects the outside of your boat; winterization protects the engine, drive and plumbing from freezing. Most customers book both together.

Can you shrink wrap my boat and store it?

Absolutely. Bundle shrink wrap with secure outdoor storage at our Orem location for $150/month, and we'll summerize it in spring.
