Why does my boat lose power on Utah lakes?
Engines make less power at high elevation because the air is thinner — a common rule of thumb is around 3% per 1,000 feet. On lakes like Deer Creek, Jordanelle or Strawberry that adds up. The right propeller, a tune-up and healthy fuel and ignition systems help you get the most out of your engine.
